The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista and customer champion to be a vital part of our friendly team. You’ll be the face of our coffee offering, crafting exceptional drinks and sharing your passion for our delicious products with our loyal customers. What You’ll Be Doing:

Crafting Coffee Excellence: Prepare and serve a range of high-quality coffee beverages with precision and artistry, from expertly pulled espresso shots to beautifully textured latte art.

Serving Smiles & Sweet Treats: Take and accurately process customer orders for our baked goods, brunch items, cakes, and coffee, ensuring a friendly and efficient service.

Becoming a Product Expert: Develop a deep understanding of our daily offerings, confidently answering customer questions about ingredients, preparation, and flavour profiles.

Mastering the Till: Efficiently operate our point-of-sale system for cash and card transactions.

Ensuring Smooth Operations: Assist with preparing simple food orders when needed, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Maintaining Equipment: Perform regular checks on temperature-sensitive equipment and basic maintenance, cleaning, and dismantling of machinery as required.

Contributing to a Clean & Welcoming Environment: Participate in daily cleaning and tidying tasks to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for both customers and the team.

Team Player: Work collaboratively with colleagues, offering support and a positive attitude.

Upholding Standards: Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

What You’ll Bring:

Essential Barista Skills: A minimum of 1 year of hands-on barista experience in a fast-paced café or coffee shop setting is essential. Proven ability to dial in grinders, pull consistent espresso shots, and steam and pour milk.

Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage warmly and effectively with customers.

Passion for Coffee: A genuine interest in coffee, with a desire to develop and share expert knowledge with both customers and colleagues.

Efficiency Under Pressure: Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining composure during busy periods.

Problem-Solving Skills: Confidence in addressing customer queries and resolving issues effectively and professionally.

Reliability & Team Spirit: A dependable and cooperative attitude, with a strong work ethic.

Attention to Detail: A commitment to accuracy and presentation in all aspects of the role.

Important Note on Hours: Due to the demands of this full-time role, requiring availability across weekdays and weekends, this position is unlikely to be suitable for individuals with significant student commitments.
